Making The Most Of Your Dumpster Rental Period

Once you've reserved a dumpster from Bin There Dump That your next step is getting down to work. We've got some tips to consider for both during and after your project.

1. Schedule your start time - Make an appointment on your calendar, set a reminder, and when the alarm goes off, get to work. Don't let that looming mountain of stuff intimidate you. The best way to get your project completed is to get started without procrastinating.

2. Ask for help - While our roll-off dumpsters do have easy open doors on the end, heavy furniture and other items may still be a problem to move. Ask friends or a neighbor to give you a hand with helping you to move the heavy items.

3. Set aside items that can't go in to the dumpster - Pool, garden and household chemicals, tires, wet paint, and other explosive or dangerous items can not be placed in the dumpster. Many Indianapolis area communities run tox-away days for proper disposal of these types of items. If you ever have any question about if an item can be placed in the dumpster, please give us a call and let us know.

4. Call us if you're done early - Our rental agreement allows for a seven day rental however we are happy to pick-up the dumpster earlier if you'd like. Prior to our arrival please ensure that it's a level load and no items are sticking up or out of the dumpster. The doors must be shut and secured. Also we'll need clear access to the dumpster. Make sure that you've moved any cars or equipment out of the way to allow a clear path for our truck.

5. Enjoy the efforts of your hard work - Once your project has wrapped up, step back and take a look at what you have accomplished. If your sense of accomplishment has spurred plans for a new project, contact us and we'll help you schedule your next dumpster rental.

Get to know more about our clean and green roll off dumpster system and then give us a call to schedule your dumpster rental.

Residential Friendly Trucks - Our trucks are compatible with residential areas so we can place our dumpsters in areas where others can't. Not only does that mean that we can locate the dumpster closer to the area where you'll be working, it also means less noise and weight at delivery and pick up. In addition our valued customers will have the peace of mind of a smaller truck entering their property.

Driveway Protection - The first and only Driveway Protection guarantee in the industry! We use a unique wood board protection system under our dumpsters so that the dumpster never comes directly in contact with your driveway.

Clean Sweep - We realize clean up can be messy and some items may fall under the bin. As an added service we sweep your drive after dumpster removal to clear the area of any nails or loose debris.

Easy Open Rear Doors - Each of our residential friendly dumpsters have a set of two easy open doors at the end of the bin. These doors allow you to easily walk items in to the dumpster instead of having to toss them over the sidewalls. Your back will thank you and so will your surrounding property.

Fall Clean Up Tips

The cooler weather of an Indianapolis autumn is a great motivator for tackling organization and clean-up projects around your property. If you're facing a long to-do list it may seem daunting to know where to begin. As experts in the roll-off dumpster rental field, we've got some tips to share that will help you get started.

Divide your home in to zones
Sleep zones - Often a quick pick-up of clothing and personal items is all that's needed. Keep a box or bag handy to toss in items to donate as you go. Anything that hasn't been worn or used for a year or two should be considered for donation.

Play and relaxing zones - Look for broken toys and furniture that need disposed of. Add donation items to your donation box and place broken items in a pile for the trash. Gather important bills and paperwork that need storing and place in a safe spot for moving to a storage system.

Storage zones - The best storage system is the one that is easy for your family to use. If your current set up isn't working it may be time to empty those closets and garage and start fresh with a new system. Most home improvement stores carry storage systems so that you can customize your system to the items that you'll be storing.

Plan for the weather
Tackle your garage and those areas without heat first before the cold weather and snow settles in. Not only will you enjoy a more favorable working environment but you'll also reduce risk of injury from moving items over frozen surfaces.

Assign tasks for the whole family
Younger kids can help out with sorting items and moving small items to the correct areas of your home. Pre-teens can be tasked with organizing items and boxing things for donation.
The more hands to help the faster the work can get done!
